Important Announcement from NTLP Board of Directors
Happy New Year!
2019 looks to be an exciting year for the National Teen Leadership Program. Beginning January 12th, NTLP will be shifting into an all-volunteer run organization with our Interim Executive Director Derlin Hsu transitioning onto the Advisory Board. Serving as an Advisor, Derlin will continue to work with the Alumni Committee Chair Payton Shields to engage our alumni base in furthering our mission as well as finding ways to grow our young leaders and keep them returning for another dose of inspiration from NTLP. Derlin, in a smaller capacity, will also work with our volunteers and the Board amongst a larger team effort to facilitate upcoming workshops and host this summer’s leadership camp.
We’d LOVE for you to volunteer with us! We’re currently in the planning stages for our workshops and summer camp, and your input and time is invaluable to the success of NTLP. In short, we call on engaging your leadership to make a difference. Join the members of both of our Board of Directors and Advisory Board as we challenge ourselves to step out of our comfort zone to serve in different capacities while pursuing our mission and upholding the organization’s Core Values to make a positive IMPACT:
I – Inclusion and a Sense of Belonging
M – Make Your Legacy
P – Proven Excellence
A – Acceptance of Everyone
C – Caring for Others
T – Teens are Our Future
Transitioning into an all-volunteer organization is just one indication of how much dedication our Board of Directors and Advisory Board have, and how strongly we believe in continuing to fulfill our mission.
NTLP remains committed to our mission of creating positive environments that empower, inspire and educate all teens to discover and maximize their unique leadership potential and embrace the diversity and equal value of everyone.
With your support, we will carry forward our 27th year of proven excellence to deliver youth development programs that support Social and Emotional Learning towards building Good Character and nurturing Leadership Skills in every young person and young adult so they can develop the leader within themselves to make their legacy and build a better world tomorrow!
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP if you have any interest in volunteering with us or would like to have NTLP facilitate a workshop for your school or organization. We look forward to another successful year of motivating and inspiring the leader within every teen. Thank you for your unwavering support.
Happy New Year to you and yours!
