October 2020 Web Series

by jen September 24, 2020
Parents, we understand life is feeling a little chaotic right now. You may be adjusting to distance learning, working from home, and balancing everything in between. We are here to support you and your teens anyway we can.

As we enter Fall, we will be providing one last web series before the holidays. In both web series, your teen will be able to connect with their peers, learn new concepts that will foster their leadership skills, and build their emotional intelligence. We are working hard so we can continue to provide a safe space where your teen can access extra support and feel grounded. We are all starting the new school year exhausted due to COVID-19 and we hope that we can continue to be here for you and your teen. For more information on our web series, check out the flyers below!

If you have questions about our online programs, contact Ashleigh Cook at acook@ntlp.org.

All Sessions are $149 Per Student

Our online program will be facilitated in real-time. Participants will receive videos/information to supplement content and weekly assignments. They will meet with a facilitator every week for 90 minutes for a live, guided discussion on their weekly assignment and curriculum. In each web series that we offer, the facilitators ask insightful questions and have the group play trivia games to connect with one another to build rapport. Our curriculum stems from the Social and Emotional Learning Competencies which are Self-Awareness, Social-Awareness, Responsible Decision Making, Self-Management, and Relationship Skills. We provide a safe space for participants to learn, grow, and thrive. We want them to have space where they can share their experiences with their peers, connect, discuss difficult topics all while fostering growth in their leadership skills. The web series will cost $149 per student.

Completion of Series

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion after they complete an assessment that will be sent out via email after the last session.

Parent Support Group

by jen July 16, 2020
The National Teen Leadership Program Has Resources for Parents Too
Parent Support Call – How to Support Your Teen to be a Leader in Uncertain Times
Free Event Hosted on Friday, July 24th at 1pm PT

As we’re going through a period of unprecedented uncertainty, NTLP recognizes that we need to also support parent while working hard to deliver our leadership training to our teen leaders.

To support our parents, we’re hosting a Parent Support Call – How to Support your Teen to be a Leader in Uncertain Times. This group call will be led and moderated by one of our own Advisory Board Members, Katie McManus, a certified leadership coach and trainer. This event will be hosted on Friday, July 24th at 1pm PT.

No parent should have to go through this uncertainty alone. Please come, be in a community with other parents, ask questions, learn some best practices, and get support from your NTLP network.

This is a FREE support group for parents to talk with a certified coach about any issues and concerns they’re facing with their teens. Parents can submit questions for the discussion beforehand to Katie at KMcmanus@ntlp.org.

Though this is a free event, donations are welcomed and appreciated, but are not required to attend the event. Click here to be taken to our donation page. All proceeds of this call will support NTLP’s efforts to empower teens for years to come.
