The National Teen Leadership Program (NTLP) was founded on the belief that there is not a group of people on this planet with more dreams, more drive, more ambition and more potential than teenagers. We have listened to their dreams, celebrated their accomplishments, supported their ambitions and propelled them into action.

This year NTLP celebrates an amazing milestone; our 25th ANNIVERSARY of inspiring and preparing teens to reach their full potential and become future leaders!

NTLP’s programs are designed to create globally minded, ethical leaders that respect and uphold the equal value of all humanity. This training transforms youth into capable leaders, motivated to affect positive social change in an increasingly diverse world.

Since our inception in 1992, NTLP has:

Empowered 15,000 teens to positively impact their communities,

Awarded $170,000 in cash and recognition awards to deserving teen leaders,

Inspired unity, vision, purpose, compassion, tolerance, confidence & motivation in the hearts and minds of teens,

Expanded our reach; touching the lives of teens & their families throughout the United States and Abroad.

NTLP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of you and others. We appreciate your continued support and are thankful for your donation today. To give a one time monetary donation, please fill out the form below.

Wishbone, a non-profit fundraising platform that helps students attend after school and summer programs through charitable donations, has helped send this student to our leadership camp. We’re pleased that the Wishbone community has given us their support and generosity.

Wishbone.org helped send Fatima to our program this year!

“Thanks to all of my donors I was able to attend National Teen Leadership Program. Attending this program has [given] me more leadership skills and has helped me come out of my comfort
zone. At first I was shy, but after a few hours and a nice welcoming gathering, I felt safe and like at home. Everyone was very kind and loving with me and other people. Thank you for making this opportunity possible.”

We are so glad that Fatima was able to attend this year! Find out more about her Wishbone campaign. #wishbone #NTLP2016 #NTLPNorCal

Barbara lives in San Jose and attended our Northern California program this summer, with help from Wishbone.org!

Here is her update: “[NTLP] has completely changed my outlook on my life and the people around me. I have learned so much about how to develop myself as a leader and a warrior. I feel like I can make an impact on a person’s life, even if it is tiny. This program had so many different elements; it was an emotional journey. For example, you can be happy and excited in one moment then the next moment, you can be silent and contemplating life. The people were the most amazing part of my experience, they were all so accepting and happy… I am truly grateful for the people who helped contribute to this wonderful summer!”

Melanie attended our Northern California program this summer, with help from Wishbone.org! Here is her update:

“I went to my program and it was great. I saw some friends that I haven’t seen in a while that came from a school back home and I also made some new friends. The speakers that were there were great and the workshops they had showed us some new leadership skills. The camp left a happy feeling in me and I would definitely go again since I loved it.”

In honor of our Founder, Laura Segura, and her 22 years of dedication to the National Teen Leadership Program, our organization established the Laura Segura Scholarship Fund in 2014 to send students in need of financial assistance to our three-day program and to award $2,500 college scholarships for completing our NTLPCorps Fellows Program.

What is the NTLPCorps Fellows Program?

The NTLPCorps Fellows Program is a transformative year-long program that integrates the leadership skills students obtain at camp and utilize those skills to create a service project that impacts their community directly.

Who are NTLPCorps Fellows?

NTLPCorps Fellows are future community leaders and agents of change. They embrace and execute NTLP’s core values, make a year-long commitment to represent NTLP and work with mentors and other Fellows to identify problems or needs to improve their community.

This year, NTLP will identify two students who will serve as our NTLPCorps Fellows for 2016. At the completion of their fellowship, he/she will receive a $2,500 scholarship to the college of their choice. Scholarships will be based on the extent of the project proposed and awarded upon the project’s completion.
