We’d like to take a moment to honor our dear friend and Emeritus Board Member, Mark Miller, who passed away yesterday. He shared so much of himself with the NTLP family that words cannot do justice to the leadership of love he exemplified, the number of lives he impacted in a positive way, and the grace of his warmth. NTLP is but a fraction of those he has impacted.
For those of you who may not have known him, even though he was a retired school counselor when he joined the NTLP board of directors, he was a man of big heart and real action, volunteering tirelessly for NTLP for several years while serving on the board (as if it were his full time job). He helped NTLP build more partnerships in southern California, including with Bell Gardens High School and the Montebello Unified School District, to name a few. He did this in order to help NTLP reach more youth, and by golly did he more than deliver!
But more importantly, Mark graced us with his loving spirit, his friendship, upbeat positivity, encouragement, that wonderful warm smile, ability to see the best in people, and bring out the best in people. We love and miss you, Mark! You are a role model to so many of us. Thank you to the Miller family for sharing him with us; we send our deepest condolences to you. <3 (Thank you alumni Felicitas for introducing him into our lives; we have been so fortunate to know him and have never been the same since.)
